There are computer programs circulating on the internet that are capable of capturing information sent and received from computers connected to the internet. The programs are sometimes stored on persons' computers without their knowledge. A specific type of program called a key logger captures information as it is being typed by a person sitting at the computer. The information is then transferred over the internet to a computer specified by the key logger program. We at the State take very careful precautions in ensuring that these programs do not reside on State computers that you access. You must also ensure that your computer is not infected with these programs. Please be sure you have taken precautionary measures to ensure that the computer you use is free from programs that will capture your personal information without obtaining your approval. The State cannot be held responsible if your personal information gets captured when you connect to our servers with an infected computer.
